Club Rotario De Latinos Unidos (CRLU), Rotary International District 5280, has partnered with Volunteers of America (VOA), Los Angeles to serve families in their Strengthening Families program. This program works with homeless and at-risk families in the East Los Angeles area. CRLU and VOA work together to coordinate a festive holiday program for these families. CRLU’s annual “Fill the Bag, Feel the Joy” program collects food and toys which will be donated to 200 families – approximately 800 people. We will plan a holiday meal to be served to families as they pick up their donated food and toy items. We will also have fun activities planned for the kids, including Santa! Families will be greeted by Santa and have an opportunity to take their picture with him and his happy elf helpers. In most cases, this will be the only Holiday celebration these families will have to enjoy. Please help us make this event a memorable one.
